Course Program for Dental Medicine
The Dental Medicine program at Plovdiv Medical University spans 5.5 years, comprising 10 semesters of rigorous academic and clinical training, followed by a 9-month pre-graduate internship.
Year 1–2: Foundations of Dental Science
Core subjects include Anatomy, Physiology, Biochemistry, and Dental Morphology.
Focus on understanding the human body and oral cavity, with hands-on laboratory sessions for foundational dental techniques.
Year 3–4: Clinical Training Begins
Core courses such as Periodontology, Prosthetics, Orthodontics, and Oral Surgery.
Students begin supervised clinical practice, working directly with patients under expert guidance.
Year 5: Advanced Specialization
Advanced topics include Cosmetic Dentistry, Implantology, and Pediatric Dentistry.

ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS – NON-EU & NON-EEA CITIZENS
Completion of High School:
Finish high/secondary school (12 years).
Obtain a Diploma/School Leaving Certificate/GCE A-2 allowing university application in your home country.
Passing Biology and Chemistry:
Pass Biology and Chemistry in high school.
For UK applicants, Biology or Chemistry must be at the A2 level, and the other can be at A2, A/S level, or GCSE.
Entrance Tests:
Sit entrance tests in Biology and Chemistry.
English Proficiency:
Non-native English speakers must prove at least B1 level English proficiency by uploading specified certificates or taking a diagnostic test at the University.
Students from countries where English is the official language don't need to take an exam or present a certificate. They only need to provide their secondary education diploma from their country.

Copy of high school diploma with academic transcript showing grades in Biology and Chemistry, or GCE Advanced Level with grades in Biology and Chemistry.
Original document certifying the right to apply to universities in the country of high school education.
Copy of valid ID/Passport or two citizenship documents for dual citizens with Bulgarian citizenship.
Four recent colour photos (4/5 cm).
High school documents from abroad must be legalized and translated into Bulgarian, following international treaties or general legalization procedures
