The Faculty of Dental Medicine at the Medical University Plovdiv is the cornerstone of the institution's legacy, renowned internationally for its excellence in education and research. 1) Admission Requirements
ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS – EU & EEA CITIZENS
If you're a foreign EU or EEA citizen looking to join the admission process, here's what you need:
Finish high school (12 years) and have a Diploma/School Leaving Certificate/GCE A-2 that lets you apply to universities in your home country.
Pass Biology and Chemistry in high school. For UK applicants, Biology or Chemistry must be at the A2 level, while the other can be at A2, A/S level, or GSCE.
Get your high school diploma recognized by any Regional Department of Education in Bulgaria.
If your diploma lists Science or Additional Science instead of Biology or Chemistry, you'll need a letter from your high school explaining what's covered.
Bulgarian citizens with foreign diplomas can apply for foreign citizen admission, but only for English programs.
Non-native English speakers must prove at least B1 level proficiency with specified certificates or a diagnostic test at the University.
Submit your application documents by August 30, 2024.
Notes:
Failing marks in Biology or Chemistry disqualifies you.
Marks in elective Biology and Chemistry don't count.
UK applicants need a Statement of Provisional Results if they apply before getting their GCE A-2 (summer 2024), followed by the actual certificate by February 2025.
IBDP and Pre-medical qualifications are accepted, but only marks in Biology and Chemistry matter for admission.
BTEC, Foundation, and Bio-Medical Science qualifications won't get you in.
Without B1 level English proficiency, you won't be ranked for admission.

Application Deadline:
Submit your application documents before the deadline – by July 12, 2024, for non-UK citizens, and by September 9, 2024, for UK citizens.
English Language Proficiency Requirements for English Training Programs at the Medical University of Plovdiv
To apply for English training programs, applicants must demonstrate a B1 language level according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR):
Presenting a valid language certificate from one of the following:
Cambridge English Language Assessment
IELTS Academic
TOEFL iBT (computer-based test)
TOEFL PBT (paper-based test)
PTE Academic
Michigan English Test (MET)
International Baccalaureate Diploma (after completing training in English)
Bilingual secondary education diploma with a graduation grade from a state exam in English
Certificate from the Department of Languages and Specialized Training after completing a preparatory course in English at Medical Universities in Bulgaria.
2. Students from countries where English is the official language don't need to take an exam or present a certificate. They only need to provide their secondary education diploma from their country.
3. Taking an English exam organized by the Department of Languages and Specialized Training at the University. The Diagnostic Test of English determines English language competence according to CEFR for applicants without one of the listed certificates. They must achieve at least B1 level.

Four recent color photos (4/5 cm).
High school documents from abroad must be legalized and translated into Bulgarian, following international treaties or general legalization procedures.

3. Score Calculation:
Average score of Diploma marks in Biology and Chemistry, scaled to a six-point system.
Marks from entrance exams in Biology and Chemistry are tripled.
Maximum score: 42; Minimum score: 24.
Applicants with failing marks in any test will not be ranked.
Non-native English speakers without B1 proficiency won't be ranked.
Technical document errors can be fixed before rankings.
