SHORT HISTORY

Our school was founded in 1942 as a Department of Pharmacy at the Faculty of Natural Sciences and Mathematics, Sofia University. Eight years later, we became part of the newly established Medical Academy, now known as the Medical University of Sofia. For more than fifty years, about 8000 pharmacists have completed their education here, among which more than 750 internationals.

1. Admission Process:

Required Documents:

  • Application Form (available in English and Bulgarian).

  • Legalized secondary education diploma with a certified Bulgarian translation.

  • Assessment grades in Biology and Chemistry as per Bulgarian regulations.

  • For foreign citizens: Certificate of Confirmation for Completed Secondary Education and proof of eligibility for higher education.

  • Proof of citizenship, two passport-sized photos, and a Declaration of Authenticity.

  • For transfers: Academic transcript with workload, examination results, and credits, legalized and translated into Bulgarian.

    Application Deadlines:

    • EU/EEA/Swiss Citizens: July 29, 2024 - September 10, 2024.

    • Non-EU/EEA Citizens: July 29, 2024 - September 10, 2024.

    Entrance Exams:

    • EU/EEA Citizens: September 13, 2024.

    • Non-EU/EEA Citizens: September 17, 2024.

    • Exams cover English, Biology, and Chemistry.

  • Results and Ranking:

    • EU/EEA Citizens: Results announced on September 19, 2024; ranking on September 25, 2024.

    • Non-EU/EEA Citizens: Results announced on September 20, 2024; ranking on September 25, 2024.

2. Enrollment Deadline:

  • October 21, 2024.

3. Dual Citizenship:

  • Students with Bulgarian and EU/EEA citizenship will follow Bulgarian admission procedures; those with non-EU/EEA citizenship will adhere to international student guidelines.

4. Additional Requirements:

  • All documents for non-EU/EEA students must be submitted both in paper format and electronically in PDF format. Power of attorney documents should also be provided if applicable.
